By Air
Inverness is served by Easyjet, BMI and British Airways with domestic flights from London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London Luton, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Dublin, Leeds, Bradford, Liverpool, Manchester, Southampton, Nottingham East Midlands, Edinburgh, Stornoway and Benbecula in the Western Isles, Kirkwall in Orkney and Sumburgh in Shetland.

There is a bus service from the airport to Inverness. A taxi costs approx £15 and takes 25 minutes. Car hire is also available from the airport (see the links page).

By Train
Inverness Railway Station has trains running to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Kyle of Lochalsh and Wick. The Alexander is a short taxi journey or ten minutes walk from the station.

By Bus
Inverness Bus Station has buses running to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Kyle of Lochalsh, Ullapool, Skye and Thurso. The Alexander is a short taxi journey or ten minutes walk from the station.

By Car from Edinburgh / Perth / Glasgow
Follow the A9 from Perth. At the Longman Roundabout take the 1st exit onto Longman Road - A82 (signposted Fort William, Inverness). At the Harbour Road Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Longman Road - A82 (signposted Fort William, Town Centre). At the Shore Street Roundabout take the 1st exit onto Chapel Street - B865 (signposted Town Centre). At traffic lights turn right onto Friars Lane - B862 (signposted Dores, Foyers). Follow the road along the river until you pass the Castle on your left, then turn right onto Ness Bank.

By Car from the West
Follow the A82 into Inverness. At traffic lights continue forward onto the B861. Move into the right hand lane then at traffic signals continue forward onto Bridge Street. Cross bridge and follow road, parallel with the Castle. At traffic lights turn right onto Haugh Road. Turn first right. Turn left onto Ness Bank.
